We need to employ a Church Congregational Pastor & International Women Coordinator in the SOUTH LONDON Church, who will be pastoring and ministering in the day-to-day running of the Church activities as well as coordinating the global women activities and events at local, regional, national, and international levels.

The successful candidate will be involved in leading in regular worship on Sunday services in native Nigerian Language (Idoma and Hausa in particular) and English languages, preaching, praying for members, and counselling them biblically, conducting communion services, marriage and weddings, baby christening, water baptism, funeral services, leading regular prayer meetings, and holding meetings with the church trustees and church executives to report on women and children welfare activities  and opportunities for international women and children charitable work and outreaches.

You will need to regularly prepare Bible Study and Sunday school lessons for church members and periodically preach the Gospel through local, national, and international evangelism.

You will also be providing religious education for children, youths, and adults by ministering at faith clinic and home cells fellowship.

Your role will include offering pastoral care and welfare support to members of the church and the community; training and coordinating work of local volunteers and lay preachers; support the pastorate in providing for the spiritual and all-round needs of the congregation, empathise with members of the church and the community and coordinating Christian programmes; conduct religious programmes in accordance with Pentecostal traditions; lead the congregation in prayers; interpret doctrines, article of faith in local (Nigerian) languages especially in Idoma and Hausa.

As International women coordinator, the successful candidate would be involved in organising annual women conference across all our partner churches as well as our international congregations. These also include the use of media platforms such as zoom and Facebook to mobilise women for special activities in the global churches.

Other functions and responsibilities include the following:                                                                           

  • Organising yearly international programme/planning for the Church.
  • Engaging with, mentoring, and providing spiritual and moral guidance for women, facilitating the native women ministry, and attending church/charity affairs and correspondences.
  • Lead outreaches to our local community and elderly members in English and Nigerian languages that reflect our global congregational membership.

Important Requirements

A Christian Pastoral or Theological degree, years of experience in pastoral work including women and children ministry and good standing testimony from local faith leaders in the community, will be considered.

Background Check

We will conduct a background DBS check where applicable for the successful candidate before confirmation of appointment.
